The Sri Raktha Mahankali Temple (Sri Mahakali Mahakaleshwara Temple) in Musheerabad was founded in 1974 by Gundeboina Narsing Rao, a devout follower of Goddess Mahakali. The land for the temple was personally registered in the name of his mother, Gundeboina Satyamma.
At the time, the Musheerabad area was mostly open land, with very few houses. During nightly prayers at the family home, Naresh’s father (Gundeboina Narsing Rao) reportedly experienced divine visions of Mahakali in the direction of the current temple site. Upon investigating, he discovered kumkuma and turmeric offerings at the location, indicating the goddess’s presence.
Recognizing the spiritual significance, he purchased the plot from the owner and established a small shrine with just three stones as the first temple. This humble beginning marked the start of what has now become a major place of worship.
2. Idol Installations & Temple Expansion

Temple Construction
The original 3-stone shrine gradually developed into a larger formal temple with the support of late film actor Mukka Narsing Rao during the 1998 idol installation. Some People contribution allowed for the expanded temple structure, giving devotees a proper place for worship and spiritual activities.
